Our Beresford Estate vineyard at McLaren Vale is located in the cool sub-region of Blewitt Sprints. Grown on ancient, deep, sandy soils the vineyard yields fruit as nature planned, with minimal intervention & little irrigation.
The Estate wines have a sense of vitality reflecting th enuances of the vineyard & the vintage which make them truly unique.
Flavour: Some gamey exotic fruit characters on the palate with a dash of spice. Fresh and vibrant on the palate with some fleshy loose tannins balances a thick and rich structure with sweet round juicy cherry fruit, red plums and boysenberry.

“Deep, rich red/purple hue. The aroma is strongly oaky – nutty toasty and lightly spicy, showing quite a lot of wood. The palate is full-bodied and well-structured, with grip and depth and density. There is good depth of super-ripe blackberry, anise and spice flavour and a well-structured backbone of tannin. Full-bodied, quite powerful and long. Some cellar age would not go amiss. It’s a bit grippy (and oaky) right now and needs time.” - huonhooke.com
